Washington: Join the “Affordable Housing Contingent”
On Saturday, October 2, hundreds of thousands will gather in Washington, D.C. for the “One Nation Rally” for Jobs, Unity and Justice for All!
Join the “Affordable Housing Contingent” organized by EMPOWER DC, the Mass Alliance of HUD Tenants and NAHT!!
Come to our Pre-Rally for Affordable Housing at 10 a.m. and then march to the National Mall
Take the metro to the Federal Triangle stop (Blue and Orange Lines).
Gather at 10am the corner of 14th Street and Constitution Ave., NW on the northwest side of the Environmental Protection Agency building.
On Saturday, October 2, 2010, hundreds of thousands of people from across America will gather at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. to demonstrate our re-commitment to change. The One Nation March will feature human and civil rights leaders, tenantas and inhabitants organisations, labor leaders, environmental and peace activists, faith leaders, celebrities and sports figures – all marching together to help Put America Back to Work and to Pull America Back Together. And to help reorder our national priorities so that investments in people come first.

Tenants Protection in Maturing HUD-Subsidized Mortgage Properties
NAHT Vice President Charlotte Delgado (CA) will be speaking!
Additionally, MAHT members will be handing out a petition that expresses concern with the current PETRA proposal, which we will send to Congress.
This rally is the kick-off event for International Housing Rights Days in October, called by NAHT, the Habitat International Coalition, the International Alliance of Inhabitants, and many more.
